Real Madrid to sign David Alaba before Juventus
Juventus was the team that was long-tied to Austrian star David Alaba, but recently Real Madrid has emerged as the favourite to sign the former Bayern Munich player. While Juventus was waiting on a free transfer during the January window, Real Madrid is preparing to pay 10 million euros over the next three seasons.
Alaba is set to part ways with German powerhouse Bayern Munich after contract disputes have not gone in his favour. It is unclear if the Real Madrid offer is more or less than what Bayern Munich had offered, but it seems as though Alaba is more than happy to accept, especially given the unpredictable economic climate as a result of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Although it is clear Juventus would still like to add the talented defender to their team, it is also known that the Bianconeri are managing their spending these days and may not be able to match what Real Madrid has put on the table.
